Here is a sample of some of the work I have done to elevate stories that matter for my clients. What can I do for you? Let's find out. Contact me for a free consultation.

I organized a media event for Donate Life Northwest that led to four TV news features and a followup by Inside Edition, highlighting a heartwarming story about organ donation and encouraging others to register as organ donors.

In 2018, I am working with the Oregon Conservation Partnership to elevate stories from land trusts, conservation districts, and watershed councils that showcase voluntary conservation projects and the significant benefits these projects provide for local communities. The article on the left was first published in the Medford Mail Tribune, but was picked up by the Associated Press and published in 25 more newspapers throughout the U.S.

I secured more than 30 articles, editorials, and op-eds throughout the Northwest for a client lobbying Congress to reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), a federal program investing in parks and other public lands. My efforts helped turned all four Northwest senators into champions for the program. The article featured on the left was published on the front page of the Daily Astorian on September 3, 2014.

Childrens Book Bank Natalie Bennon

I co-led a team that developed and wrote a very successful strategic communications plan to help the Children's Book Bank increase awareness and funds to purchase books for children of color. I've also written strategic communications plans for Pacific Birds Joint Venture, Neighbors for Clean Air, and Pacific Rivers. My communications plans build on your existing strategic goals by weaving in the communications strategics and tactics that will get you there. Contact me to learn more.

I've worked with numerous organizations (including the Sea Change Program, Pacific Rivers, and Pacific Birds) to revamp and/or rewrite portions or all of their websites. My process involves interviewing stakeholders and delving deep into your work to ensure I develop the right voice, tone, and material to meet your organization's online goals.

You have stories. And all communications materials should pivot off the best ones. Whether it's an annual report, op-ed, newsletter, blog, appeal letter, grant proposal, report, website, or brochure, I can help you find and tell your best stories -- like this one about a multi-generational work party on one of The Nature Conservancy's preserves in Oregon.

Pacific Rivers works to advance federal and state laws and policies that protect clean water and healthy rivers in the Northwest. As a consultant and later on staff, I helped Pacific Rivers elevate their message via traditional and digital media -- including a new website and national press on priority issues. The result was more supporters and more donations. See some of the media I helped Pacific Rivers secure here.

Thought leadership is an art, and it requires strategic thinking, good writing, and even better editing. I am an empathetic listener and collaborator who can help you find or refine your voice to meet your goals, something I did frequently while helping the Oregon United for Marriage campaign bring out their best stories and best voices to pass a ballot measure allowing marriage for all. Here is an example.

I helped develop a social media toolkit for a multi-partner, one-week communications campaign by the Sea Change Program, which resulted in thousands of shares on Twitter and Facebook, and more than 800 new visitors to the campaign landing page.

Verde Natalie Bennon

I have helped raised more than $11 million for nonprofits, such as Verde, Audubon, Neighbors for Clean Air, Metropolitan Youth Symphony, and more. I am quick and reliable in getting up to speed and meeting deadlines. And the more I work with an organization, the more efficient I am in helping identify sources and raise funds for your priority projects. Contact me to see how I can help you.

Working with KinderCare Education at Work, I have organized and led proposal-writing teams and written proposals to help the company meet its B2B marketing goals and its mission to bring high-quality, early childhood education to the workplace.

Natalie is an expert professional who brought strategic focus and environmental expertise to the job. As a small non-profit with limited capacity, we needed a self-motivated person who could take limited direction and run with it. She did an excellent job.
